It’s that time of year again! Cedar Bend Humane Society’s 24th Annual Neuter-a-Tomcat program is fast approaching!

Local clinics participate in the Neuter-a-Tomcat event by providing neuter services for farm/barn or free-roaming cats to the general public. This year, the neuter fee is $45.

Neuter-a-Tomcat takes place throughout February and March, with dates and times varying for each vet depending on their capacity to donate their time. After March, each clinic donates the neuter fees they collected to Cedar Bend Humane Society to support our Spay and Neuter program that continues to reduce pet overpopulation throughout the year. Last year, 150 cats were altered by local participating clinics!

Cedar Bend Humane Society (1166 West Airline Highway, Waterloo, IA)

Dates: Weekdays throughout February & March (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)

Details: Offering $45 neuters and $60 spays including a pain management/antibiotic injection. A free rabies vaccine will be offered with the purchase of a Distemper vaccine. Ear tip is required. All cats must be brought in individual carriers. Drop off & Pick up times discussed when scheduling.

Date: Friday, February 14 (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)

Details: Neuters only. Required to receive rabies and distemper vaccines at appointment. Ear Tip Required. All cats must be brought in individual carriers. Drop off & Pick up times discussed when scheduling.
